Description
This Portuguese language course builds on the written and oral communication skills developed over the course of Portuguese 1. Topics concerning modern Brazil are integrated into language learning through an interactive programme of language acquisition.
The course covers the four key skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing, at an intermediate level. Coursebook and other additional, including original, materials will be used in the development of communication skills through practical written and oral exercises (individual and group-based).

Written assessments: assignments: 15% and final written assignment 10%;
Partial exam 25% and Final exam 25% (tests include linguistic exercises – eg. fill-the-gap exercises – and written comprehension or short composition).
Oral assessment: 25% of mark (short presentation and question/answer session).
The final mark for the course is established by determining the weighted average.
If the final mark is 5.4 or less, the student must take the corresponding resit.
