Description
The masterclass prepares students in their second year for their internship and writing their thesis. Usiscode for enrollment: 4353MACLAH.
The masterclass is always offered in the fall semester and consists of 6 sessions. September starters follow the masterclass in their third semester; February starters in their second.
In several sessions, possible thesis topics will be pitched and discussed.

Course objectives
After the master class, students:
know what procedures and rules to follow when conducting their thesis research project
understand the challenges that await them in creating a research proposal and executing their project
have an overview of potential research topics, supervisors, hosts, and methods
are able to initiate contact with potential internship hosts and with potential academic supervisors
understand the evaluation criteria for thesis research projects
Timetable
The most recent timetable can be found at the students' website.
You will find the timetables for all courses and degree programmes of Leiden University in the tool MyTimetable (login). Any teaching activities that you have sucessfully registered for in MyStudyMap will automatically be displayed in MyTimeTable. Any timetables that you add manually, will be saved and automatically displayed the next time you sign in.
MyTimetable allows you to integrate your timetable with your calendar apps such as Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and other calendar apps on your smartphone. Any timetable changes will be automatically synced with your calendar. If you wish, you can also receive an email notification of the change. You can turn notifications on in ‘Settings’ (after login).
