BA in linguistics or related discipline
Description
Students are strongly encouraged to carry out field research in the Americas as a preparation for the thesis to be written in the second semester. If field research is not possible, you can conduct archive or museum research, or follow a course at a university abroad. The last part of the spring semester is primarily composed of writing up the results of the field research (or archive/museum research) —guided throughout by your study tutor.
Course objectives
To show that you can carry out independent research on a relevant topic, illustrating your knowledge and understanding of Native American studies. You will learn to apply independent thinking and reasoning skills to complex scientific problems which will be evident from the final thesis at the end of the academic year.
