Studenten die dit college willen volgen, dienen het college Egyptische Archeologie I (5702OEA1) met goed gevolg te hebben afgerond.
Beschrijving
Diepgaande benadering van theoretische en methodologische aspecten aan de hand van egyptologische voorbeelden, globaal conform Egyptische archeologie I.
Leerdoelen
Het verwerven van een verdiepte kennis van en inzicht in een selectie van moderne theoretische en methodologische probleemstellingen en aspecten van de Egyptische archeologie.
Het belang van deze aspecten van de archeologie voor concrete Egyptische praktijkvoorbeelden en een toepassing hierop.
Het vermogen de centrale inhoud van (een deel van) de te bestuderen literatuur hierover in een kort (15-20 min.) referaat aan publiek duidelijk te maken, of hierop schriftelijk commentaar te leveren en dit mondeling toe te lichten.
Het college verdiept de colleges Materiële cultuur I-II (5701OMC1, resp. 5701OMC2) en Egyptische archeologie I (5702OEA1) en bereidt voor op o.a. de cursus Egyptology in the field: Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo (5704VNVIC)

Toetsing
Toetsing aan het eind van het vierde blok. Zie leerdoelen. Schriftelijk tentamen van essayvragen.Presentatie weegt 30%, tentamen 70%. Herkansing op afspraak: mondeling of schriftelijk, afhankelijk van het aantal deelnemers.
