Admission requirements
Free and compulsory for students enrolled in the ResMA African Studies program.
Description
In the period the course is offered students start to write their individual research proposals. In several meetings students bring in their draft proposal for discussion. Comments will be provided by the instructors as well as by fellow students. Attention will be given to the structuring of arguments and the development of research questions on the basis of debates on the current state of research.
Course objectives
The objective of the course is to assist students in setting-up their research project, to critically engage in formulating research questions and theoretical and methodological considerations in different phases of the project.
