Statistical Physics 1 and
Statistical Physics 2 (statistical and thermal physics, (bachelor courses).
Description
I. Theory of phase transitions and critical phenomena: real-space renormalization group, momentum-space renormalization group. Applications: percolation, Ising model, Ginzburg-Landau Hamiltonian, epsilon expansion, two-dimensional XY model. Anomalous dimensions far from equilibrium.
II. Linear response theory.
