Premodern Chinese I and II. Successful completion of Klassiek Chinees 3a (voorheen: Premodern Chinese IIIA) is recommended.
Description
This is a Classical Chinese course for advanced students who have completed basic level Classical Chinese courses (I and II).
Course objectives
Further expand students’ Classical Chinese vocabulary
Improve students’ knowledge of Classical Chinese grammar
Develop the ability to read Classical Chinese texts fluently
Help student learn to use dictionaries and other relevant sources
Develop translation skills

The final grade consists of the weighted average of all course components. A resit for the final exam is allowed if a student scores a non-passing grade (5,49 or lower) on the first attempt.
