Demotic Papyrology I and preferably also II.
Description
Biweekly class dealing with literary and religious Demotic texts or texts students wish to learn more about.
Course objectives
Reading and preliminary interpretation of texts that are unknown to most Egyptologists. Students are expected to stretch their imagination and look beyond the available tools and publications.

Total course load for the course is 5 EC (140 hours), consisting of:
Classes, 26 hours;
Preparation for the classes, 78 hours;
Scientific commentary on the content of a Demotic text (to be announced), 36 hours.
