Students will participate in a seminar group that mostly consists of the students who finished Research Design (February intake) in Spring 2020.

Admission only for students who have finished the fieldwork research for their master’s thesis.
Description
This 5 ECTS course aims to establish the analytical connection between the fieldwork experiences and the data collected during fieldwork on the one hand, and on the other hand the theories and epistemologies discussed in the first part of the master's programme. The focus will be on the level of analysis, the units of analysis, and the process of constructing a written academic argument and, in the case of Visual Ethnography, an audiovisual component.

Mode of Instruction
Students will meet in six, (bi-)weekly tutorials.
Assessment Method
A series of short (bi-)weekly assignments which will be graded. Grades count proportionally towards the final grade for the course. Presence at all tutorials is mandatory, from the start of the course.

Students are required to register for this course in uSis - act nr 3343 (WG 4) . (Registration for the exam is not required since there is no classical examination.)

Brightspace will be used to make available information and assignments.
Reading List
There is no separate reading list for this course. Students will use the literature from previous coursework in the programme, their fieldwork notes, and the literature they use for writing their master's.
