Principles of International Law and International Dispute Settlement

Course
2020-2021

This course provides a systemic overview of the function of international dispute settlement in contemporary international relations. Students will learn or refresh a strong foundation in public international law through a broad range of international and domestic case law. In addition to this practical knowledge of substantive law, the course encourages students to think critically concerning the current institutional structure of international dispute settlement, as well as transversal issues of peace, justice, and the roles of adjudication and arbitration in society and global governance.
