Admission requirements
This course primarily targets second and third-year students in French Language and Culture (minimum of 45 EC of the Propaedeutic year of the BA French Language and Culture obtained).
N.B. When choosing your Séminaire, take into account the fact that in the second and third year of the BA French Language and Culture, a total of 5 Séminaires have to be completed successfully, of which three should have a research component (Séminaire de recherche).Students from other programmes can participate if their level of French is B1/B2.
Description
Le séminaire de Français juridique permet aux étudiants de français et aux étudiants de droit, de politique internationale et de politique européenne de découvrir le système juridique français. Il s’agit à la fois d’un cours de français spécialisé et d’une initiation au droit français. Les chapitres étudiés sont les suivants:
Les sources du droit
Les institutions nationales et européennes
Les juridictions civiles et administratives
Les acteurs du droit
La notion de responsabilité et les contrats
Les relations du travail
Les relations entreprises/pouvoirs publics
Course objectives
Découvrir les principales notions de droit français (privé et public) dans un contexte européen et international
A l’aide de documents authentiques (arrêts, contrats), analyser les décisions de justice et comprendre (de manière relativement simple) le fonctionnement des contrats et la notion de responsabilité ainsi que les notions de droit du travail et de droit international
Présenter en français un sujet juridique au choix, en équipe ou non
Apprendre en autonomie à l’aide des documents postés dans Brightspace. Vérifier en groupes les connaissances acquises (peer assessment).

The final grade is determined by calculating the weighted average of the partial grades.
To pass the course, the weighted average of the partial grades must be 5.5 or higher.
