Pre-master Final Assignment Linguistics

Course
2024-2025

Admission requirements

Admitted to pre-master Linguistics.

Description

The final assignment can be a part of the completion of your pre-master programme. This entails writing a scientific paper of approximately 16 A-four pages, excluding appendices (maximally 10,000 words) about a research topic in the field of Linguistics. This research must be supervised by one of the staff members of LUCL.

The Pre-master Final Assignment Linguistics is quite similar to a Bachelor Thesis, with two important administrative differences:

  • The Pre-master Final Assignment does not have a second reader, so you only need to find a supervisor.

  • You do not upload your Pre-master Final Assignment Linguistics in the Student Repository and you do not have to email to Hum - BA Thesis Humanities (bathesis@hum.leidenuniv.nl) when handing in your Pre-master Final Assignment Linguistics.

If you want to start with your Pre-master Final Assignment fill out the following form, preferably before 15 February: Pre-master Final Assignment form.

Deadlines Final Assignment:

15 February: submit Pre-master Final Assignment form
1 June: suggested deadline draft version
