Description
Using concrete language variation phenomena, students will be introduced to performing linguistic analyses and their results.
Course objectives
The course familiarises students with the current tools of linguistic research. For this purpose, the course pursues several methodological questions, such as how to collect data, how to formulate a working hypothesis, and how to select related criteria.
Students acquire insight into the development of the Spanish language through intralinguistic and extralinguistic factors.
