Syntax 1
Description
In this course, we use the phenomenon of raising and control to review the development of generative syntax. We concentrate on questions such as: what constitutes as core evidence for a certain hypothesis, and what kind of argumentation is put forth.
Course objectives
a. Students learn the basics concerning the development of generative syntax.
b. Students learn to understand how argumentations are built up.
