To be a registered student of the Research Master Latin American and Caribbean Studies.
Description
This course provides students with the required methodological and practical tools to do fieldwork research in Latin America. Research techniques such as observation, interviewing and life story are taught. Attention will also be given to practical problems that students might face in the field. Each student will formulate a research proposal, which final version should be delivered by the end of the course.
Course objectives
Organizing and implementing an academic research project in a different socio-cultural setting; learning how to use research methods and how to interpret results; reporting academic research.

Blackboard will be used to post all the necessary information about the course (programme, time tables, announcements, etc.). Also announcements will be posted on interesting activities (such as Conferences, workshops, expositions, etc.), which are related to the themes analyzed during the course.
