Basic knowledge of International Law
Description
The course on Aerospace Law deals with multilateral and bilateral aviation agreements, airline liability, EU air law and aviation security law as well as space law, covering the legal aspects of various space activities, both private and public.
Course objectives
Objectives of the course: – To provide an overview of the main legal instruments and issues in the fields of public air law, private air law and space law; – To provide a general overview of the regulation of international civil aviation – To explain the principles of airline liability – To provide an overview of legal issues in relation to space activities and the use of outer space
Achievement levels:
After this course students: – have a good understanding of the principle international legal instruments in trhe abovementioned fields and are able to epxlain their applicability; – can mention and explain current legal issues pertaining to air law and space law.

Number of (2 hour) lectures: One 2-hour class per week for 10 weeks
