LL Seminar Japanese Linguistics

Course
2018-2019

Admission requirements

Description

In this course, we will discuss various aspects of Japanese linguistics more or less comprehensively. Topics include phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, historical linguistics, and linguistic fieldwork.

Students will become familiar with basic aspects of linguistics, focusing on the Japanese language in particular. The class itself consists of lectures, student-led discussions in small groups, as well as in-class assignments and exercises.
