Description
This course builds on Descriptive Linguistics 1 in the first semester. In Descriptive Linguistics 2 we focus on the analysis of raw language data in all areas of linguistics: phonology, morphology, and syntax. The emphasis is on choosing the best analysis. We use little analyzed and unpolished data collections on which the students themselves work, also in groups.
