Start of the academic year 2009-2010

The Department welcomes its Master students and those from other departments in the
School of Middle Eastern Studies on Monday, August 31, 11.15 -15.00 hrs in Building
Matthias de Vrieshof 4, room 008A.

Classes will start on Monday, September 7. The academic year, however, officially starts on 31 August 2009.
We expect you to be in Leiden on that date.

Prior to the start of the academic year, Leiden University offers you an Induction Programme consisting of three parts.
1) 10-14 August- “EL CID” Orientation Week (Costs 60 EURO)
2) 17-26 August ACCULTURATION WEEKS (Costs 200 EURO)
3) A two day introduction programme organized by the International Office. This
two-day programme, which this year will take place on August 27 and 28, consists
of a general introduction to the university, the city of Leiden, and the student
organisations. This programme is free of charge.
