Personal and Professional Development for new students of Science & Society


Admission Requirements

This course is for students who start their Honours programme Science & Society in March or September 2021.


The first seminar of this course is the workshop Personal & Professional Purpose, during which you explore your motives, passion and mission and how these relate to future professional development.

The second seminar is the workshop Making Choices:
How do you navigate through the enormous amount of opportunities you have in your studies and beyond? How do you make choices that suit who you are and how you want to develop yourself personally? During the workshop Making Choices, you reflect on your own process of choosing and your tools that can support you in this continuing process.

You will be notified by email about preparatory assignments.


You will be allocated to one of the two groups.

Making Choices Tuesday 02-11-2021 or Thursday 04-11-2021 18:00-22:00

Mode of instruction

The language of instruction is English. You can write your preparatory and post-workshop assignments in English or Dutch.

Assessment method

The assessment method will be announced during the course.


You do not need to register for this course. You will be enrolled by the Honours College FSW.
