Admission requirements
Admission to the Pre-master Literary Studies. Following the thesis seminar is obligatory.
Description
You conclude the Pre-master programme by writing a final assigment. Once your assigment has been approved, you will receive a mark. If you wish to have an evaluation meeting with your supervisor, you can request one.
The final assigment is worth 10 ECTS and must be between approx. 7,500 and a maximum of 10,000 words in length, including footnotes, bibliography and appendix.

Please note that the deadline to submit the topics of your choice is 20 August when you write your final assigment in the first semester and 10 January when you write your final assigment in the second semester.

Assessment method
Assessment
Independently written final assigment.
The final assigment will be assessed on at least the following aspects:
a. an adequate formulation and application of the research question;
b. an adequate critical analysis of secondary literature;
c. an adequate critical analysis of source material;
d. use of language, structure and design of the final assigment.
You must submit the final version of the final assigment by e-mail to your supervisor. When doing so, you must put the e-mail address of BAthesis in cc. If the supervisor request a paper copy, the student should hand in a paper copy to the supervisor.
Weighting
The final assigment counts for 100% of the mark.
Resit
If your final assigment does not demonstrate the learning outcomes, you can resit it once. You must submit the revised version before the end of the first month of the following semester. For more information, see the website.
