Description

The Honours College conference marks the zenith of the Science, Society and Self track. The conference provides students the opportunity to share their message to the world. At the conference, the students present a message to the world that stems from their own passion and mission, and that builds upon the knowledge and insights they have generated during their Honours trajectory.

Please note that the annual conference of the Honours College track Science, Society and Self is not the same as the conference organized by the Honours Academy.

Course objectives

Through this course, we strive to achieve that students are able to:

  • reflect on the insights they obtained during the Honours College trajectory

  • construct a thoughtful and clear message from the insights they obtained during the Honours College trajectory

Mode of instruction

Students are expected to invest approximately 28 hours for this 1 ECTS course by:

  • attending and preparing the workshop: 24 hours

  • attending the conference: 4 hours

Assessment method

The student passes this course upon the attendance of the workshop and the conference as well as the preparatory assignment.

Language

The Conference will be held in English.

Admission requirements

This course is mandatory for students in their third year of the Honours College Science, Society and Self track.
