Experimentation I: Programming Psychological Experiments

Course
2008-2009

In this course, students receive an introduction into the use of programming languages and standard packages for the programming of psychological experiments and surveys. They will be taught how to use, interpret and modify existing programs, with an emphasis on programs developed in applied research settings. Students make a choice out of two combinations of:

  • E-Prime + Visual Basic (Cognitive Psychology students) or

  • E-prime + Authorware (others).

Doelstelling(en)

Students acquire basic skills in modifying existing programs for running psychological experiments, using two standard packages from a set of three:

  • Visual Basis

  • E-prime

  • Authorware.

Program, written exam

Inschrijving

Introduction and enrollment for courses of the first semester will take place August 28th 2008. Introduction and enrollment for courses of the second semester will take place in January 2009. More information will be available at the website of the Department of Psychology.

NB: Exam registration will take place via U-Twist, and will be open between a month and a week before the (re)exam. Students who don’t register, cannot participate in the exam.
