Botanic macrofossils:
After the sampling in the field, the samples are stored until the botanical macrofossils are analysed.
Palynology:
As soon as the samples of a site are collected, parts of those samples can be examined on spores and pollen.

Learning objectives

Botanic macrofossils:

*Know how to select which part of a sample can be used for analyses in the laboratory; *Itimize macrofossilic botanical material; *Identify the fossils through reference materials; *To be able to place the data in a diagram; *To make reconstructions through the diagram.

Palynology:

*To be able to use reference material to identify spores and pollen of a Quaternary site; *To be able to make a pollen-diagram; *To be able to interpret palynological data.

Examination

Assessment of the research and of the final paper.
