Course
2019-2020

Description

For a complete description of the Bachelor's position, see the Labour market orientation tab.

The following questions and topics are central to the third year of the Bachelor’s CA-OS:

  • Information about the MA programme: What will I do after my BA? How does that fit in with my career planning?

  • Anthropologists’ career day: What are other people doing? How did they get where they are now? What will employers want from me?

  • Application training: How do I find a job? How do I profile myself? How do I write a good application letter? How can I network well? How do I prepare a job interview? And so on...

Interweaving with courses

In addition to plenary meetings there are clear links to the labour market within the courses. There will be excursions to the professional field, guest speakers from the field and students will learn skills applicable to different functions.
Two courses in which very specific skills are trained are Visual Methods and the Field School in the Philippines.

In Visual Methods students gain experience in the use of different audiovisual methods and techniques.

Within Area Study Sustainability Philippines students gain experience of working in a multi-national and interdisciplinary team in which they will focus on a problem-oriented research assignment. Research skills and experience will be expanded.
