Philosophy (60 EC): Philosophy, Politics and Economics

Structure of the programme

The MA programme (60 EC): Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) consists of the following components:

Core Seminar (10 EC)

Students complete one compulsory core seminar.

Optional Courses (in total 30 EC)

Students select three optional courses. The optional courses of the PPE programme will be concerned with Politics and Philosophy, or Economics and Philosophy, or they will be integrative and transdisciplinary courses that are focusing on the intersection between philosophy, politics and economics and other fields in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences.

Master’s thesis and thesis seminar (20 EC)

The MA programme will be concluded by a master’s thesis of 20 EC. The master’s thesis is an independent academic contribution to philosophy in the field of Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Students follow the compulsory thesis seminar during the semester in which the thesis is being written.

Students may choose to replace one of the three optional courses (10 EC) by an internship.
