Mode of instruction
Practical assignments on location.
Course load
The course load will be distributed as follows:
- 2 weeks fulltime fieldwork with associated daily field notes and final Field school report (5 ects).
Assessment method
The final grade is composed of
practical skills, based on field assignments and attendance (50 %);
final Field school report (50%).
The individual grades cannot be compensated. Due to practical reasons it is not possible to retake the practical part in the same year.
The deadline for the final Field school report is 1 week after your last field day. The report must be handed in through BlackBoard and Turnitin. Only if the practical results from the Field school have received a passing grade, you are allowed to write the final Field school report. This cannot be stressed enough: it is not possible to pass the Field school while lacking competence in the appropriate fieldwork techniques.
