Description
See also theTutoring and Labour Market Orientation tab.
Why do you study Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology? What options and choices do you have during your studies? Which direction in your studies is in line with your interests? How can you prepare yourself as well as possible for a Master’s programme and the professional field? These questions are central to the Tutoring and Labour Market Orientation module. This module, which runs through the entire bachelor’s, supports students in their personal search within the multitude of choices and possibilities on offer. The choices you make during your studies - the courses you take, the research assignments you carry out and the questions you ask yourself - determine the direction of your future career. In the Tutoring programme you look for your own strengths, wishes and possibilities.
In the first year of study there is also ample attention for familiarizing yourself within the university and for practicing study skills. The following questions and topics are central in the first year of this module:
Attention to familiarize yourself within the university and the CA-DS Bachelor’s: What is expected of me as a student? What can I expect from the programme? Where can I go with questions or problems?
Attention for study skills: How do I learn? What do I find difficult? What am I good at?
Reflection on study choice and motivation: Why do I want to study anthropology? What appeals to me about it? What do I want to get out of my studies?
Orientation on options within the study: Which region do I want to learn more about? Which themes do I find interesting? Do I want to do an internship or study abroad?
Orientation on the labour market: What can anthropologists do? Where do anthropologists end up? Where do I hope to end up myself?
