Computer Science: Artificial Intelligence

The Artificial Intelligence specialisation consists of a full-time, two-year master’s programme (120 EC).

Curriculum

Year 1&2

  1. The required Core courses Artificial Intelligence (24 EC)

  2. One choice of two compulsory courses, either Core courses Algorithmic Artificial Intelligence or Core courses Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence (12 EC)

  3. A selection of Specialisation courses and seminars (42 EC)

Year 2

  1. The Master’s Thesis Research Project (42 EC) (including Master Class, Written Master's Thesis and Master's Thesis Presentation)

Important notes:

  • The Core component consist of:

    • All four Core courses Artificial Intelligence (24EC)
    • One additional block of two Core courses, either Core courses Algorithmic Artificial Intelligence or Core courses Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence (12EC).
  • Students who completed either Neural Networks (Level 500, 6 EC) or Deep Learning and Neural Networks (Level 500, 6 EC) before 1 September 2020, substitute Introduction to Deep Learning (Level 500, 6 EC) by the one already taken.
