Description

This course is an introductory survey to the history of China from the middle of the 19th century up to the present. The course deals not only with the events of that period, but will also discusses competing concepts of history and will focus on key features of modern Chinese history.

Familiarize students with basic knowledge of the history of modern China, plus the development of academic writing skills.
