Linguistics: Linguistics

This is a specialization within the MA Linguistics.

Please note that this is a provisional list of courses.

This specialization consists of several suggested thematic routes. Each route focuses on a different research area. All routes have been previously approved by the Board of Examiners.

Students take the following courses:
20 EC: (At least) Theme courses
20 EC: Electives (Elective courses, internship, individual project) and/or extra theme courses
20 EC: MA thesis

Each thematic route consists of a selection of theme courses and suggested elective courses. Some routes additionally contain (suggested) method courses.

Students may also choose their own 'free route'', where they can make any combination of courses based on the available courses in this specialization. However, they will have to submit their proposal to the Board of Examiners for approval. Students opting for this should first contact the coordinator of studies, Else van Dijk.

3. Language Description and Documentation
